Scalander is an open source project written by the Scalander team, and open source contributors. As Scalander is developed as an open-source project, the original source code contains methods to, but does not collect or store, any user data inherently. However, you may choose to use the online hosted version of our product available at our website. In that case, we will be collecting some information from you to sync and store data items that we collect for the sole and explicit purpose of facilitating our service. This privacy policy explains what data we collect from you in order to operate this service, and how you could control, update, or request the deletion of this data. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Throughout this policy, "our Service" is defined as the packaged version of the Scalander application by the Scalander team available at our website. "Our Product" is defined as the Scalander and its source code available on the GitHub repository. This privacy policy does not govern the usage of our Product, which is an open source project that contains methods to, but does not collect or store, any user data inherently.

The usage of both our Product and our Service is also governed by GNU LGPL v3 as our Licensing Terms.

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name and your email. Additionally, parts of your account will also be collected solely for enabling the syncing and backing up of your account should the option be enabled. The information needed for the sole purpose of account data processing to enable the main function of Service, includes your email, your name, your free/busy calendar availability, your meetings' names, their start and end dates. These information is stored using industry-standard practices while retained. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. We do not collect any information beyond those explicitly used to facilitate the running of our Service.

The app uses Google Cloud Services for calendar information, which is a third party service that may collect information used to identify you.

We do not perform any implicit data logging except those used by our distributors and service providers. Please refer to the privacy policies of Google Cloud Services and Cloudflare for more info.

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information, provide their service (such as authentication preservation), and improve their services.
